Terry Sutterfield, Clinic Medical Director, MD earned his MD from the University Of Arkansas School Of Medical Services and completed a residency in family medicine. For the next ten years, Dr. Sutterfield practiced family medicine in the small town of Mountain View, Arkansas. While in Arkansas, Dr. Sutterfield helped form a clinic system that grew from 1 to 7 clinics serving a large, rural population across 6 counties. |

Mori J. Krantz, MD is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. In addition to providing monthly Cardiology consulting to PMSC, Dr. Krantz has helped build remote cardiac imaging services to PSMC through his practice at Denver Health. He is also a passionate supporter of the PSMC Wellness Center. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado. He was drawn to the great energy and community focus embodied by the PSMC staff. He enjoys daily exercise, hiking, and rerun movies.

Rick Zak, MD performs colonoscopies, GI consultative services and colorectal cancer screening services. Dr. Zak comes to us from Chico, CA, where he has been serving patients in gastroenterology for the past 28 years.
Dr. Zak attended Occidental College in Los Angeles and graduated cum laude with a Biology degree. He then attended University of Illinois School of Medicine and did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine there. |

James Pruitt, MD moved to Pagosa in 1981 after his residency training and has served as a primary care physician ever since. He also serves on the Board of the Upper San Juan Hospital District. The Upper San Juan Hospital District was created in February
1981 for the purpose of funding the construction and operation of a hospital in our community. Dr. Pruitt is so happy that the community has finally reached it's goal!

Dave Shaeffer, MD & Surgeon earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Hawaii. He is board certified in General Surgery and has a Masters Degree in Public Health. His wife, Amber, is also a surgeon at Pagosa Springs Medical Center. |

Amber Reiss-Holt, MD & Surgeon earned her BA at UC San Diego, MD in Albany, New York, and then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. After a year, she completed a fellowship in surgical critical care. After working in New Zealand, she received more training in general surgery at Harbor UCLA in California. While completing training in Hawaii,she met her husband Dave and they were blessed with a wonderful daughter in 2010. They moved to Pagosa Springs in 2011. |

Dr. William Bentley is a board-certified neurologist specializing in stroke who has been in practice for 34 years. Dr. Bentley completed his medical degree at the University of Texas (Southwestern) Medical School. He completed his post graduate training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bentley has been named a “Top Doctor” eight consecutive years by his peers in Denver’s 5280 magazine! Dr. Bentley is an active member of several neurology and stroke associations for Colorado and the Rocky Mountain area. |

Dr. Nick Kurz, DO, is an Osteopathic Physician and specializes in Preventative and Sports medicine with a special interest in nutrition and wellness. Dr. Kurz is also a Level II accredited Worker's Compensation provider. As an Osteopath, he provides manipulative treatments, and is also trained in the full spectrum of Family Medicine. After years of visiting friends here, he was finally able to make this his home and enjoys hiking, biking and snowboarding. |

Fran Schreiber-Custer, PA specializes in family medicine and women's health, as well as ER, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the clinic. She graduated at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has worked at various medical facilities such as Keefe Memorial Hospital, Prairie View Clinic, and Kit Carson Outreach Clinic. Fran found Pagosa Springs through her longtime friend, Martin Neubert. Since moving here, she has enjoyed fishing, hiking, and skiing with her family and loves to take in the beautiful scenery Pagosa has to offer. |

Robert Gruver, PA has both a bachelor's and master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center PA program. He has published 4 medical journal articles, and he has had a 21 year career in the US Air Force, retiring in 2001. |

Peter D. Marshall, MD, completed Family Medicine residency at the University of Colorado in 2007, while serving as chief resident. While there, he completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship program. During this year he assisted with orthopedic surgeries, served as a team physician for Division I college athletes, and worked in the ski area clinic at Mt Crested Butte. He worked in private practice as a sports medicine physician for two years in Boulder County before deciding to relocate to Southwest Colorado. Dr. Marshall loves taking care of active patients of all ages and athletic pursuits. In addition to his interest in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries, he enjoys connecting with his patients, promoting a natural diet, and creating a personalized program of regular physical activity for his patients.

Charlene Borja, DO, attended college in New York and medical school in Maine. She then moved to Denver in 2006 to complete her residency training at Rose Hospital, and afterward began working in a private practice in Aurora. She enjoys working in a rural, underserved area. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, yoga and now horsebackriding and fishing! She also enjoys live music and reading. |

David Hughes, MD received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He has been an Emergency Physician at Mercy Regional Medical Center since 2004. He has been a Medical Director for the Upper San Juan Ambulance Service, Tristate Careflight in Durango, Durango Mountain Resort ski patrol, Silverton Ambulance and the San Juan and Archuleta County's Search and Rescue. |

Carole Nasralla, MD, being the daughter of missionaries, spent much of her youth living in India and traveling the world. She returned to the states and began her college education, continuing on to medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago. After graduating in 1997, she completed her residency in family medicine at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, with an emphasis in Women's Health and Obstetrics. Carole has lived in Pagosa Springs for 10 years now, and she has worked at the Indian Health Service in Dulce, New Mexico during that time. Carole, her husband Dave, and their four children stay active in the Pagosa Springs area, whether they are hiking, biking, or swimming, and they also love to travel. She is very excited to finally be able to practice medicine in the community in which she lives, and she will be working at the clinic part-time, providing mostly women's health and prenatal care.

Robin Galloway, MD is a Colorado native happy to be living in a beautiful mountain town again. She graduated from UCHSC in Denver in 2001, and completed her family practice residency in Anchorage, AK. She works as a hospitalist physician serving the ER and inpatient service in Pagosa Springs, and continues to travel to Alaska once a quarter to help care for the indigenous population in the Bethel area. |

John (Jack) Cartier, MD earned his BA in Chemistry from Arizona State University in 1972 and his MD from the University of Arizona in 1977. After practicing in Shiprock for a few years, Dr. Cartier began serving patients as an ER physician at Mercy Medical Center until 2010. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and an American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) charter member. |

Jessaca Cassady, LCSW, is a clinical social worker that specializes in behavioral health issues for adults and children. She earned her BA in psychology from Fort Lewis College in 2001 and her MSW from University of Denver in 2006. Jessaca was raised in Southwest Colorado and received all of her training here. Jessaca has worked in public and private non profits for the last 10 years navigating systems and helping people identify and address barriers to living the life they want to live. She loves the mountains and vast open land still available to explore. Jessaca spends her free time volunteering with Girl Scouts of Colorado, her Church, as well as, camping, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three daughters. |
